- June 12th - 18th, 1583: Shadow of a Stranger Betrayal by a spirit, battle with a general, a long sea voyage, and a talk with Hirohito.
- June 19th - July 1st, 1583: Strange Bedfellows Another general turned, Panda gets married, a visit to The Lady's hometown, and freeing her father from a malign influence.
- The Bound Fox Reiko's bindings, Hiroshi's bemusement.
- July 1st - July 6th, 1583: Bad Blood Yukiko's father's history and other career, mantis warriors, a general loses his head.

- July 7th - July 8th, 1583: Smoke and Mirrors A prophecy, the Lady's need to know, the Crane mirrors, meeting Tomika's father. A thoroughly unpleasant town and a successful ambush.
- From Lady Yukiko's Journal, 7/9 - 7/13: Cold as River Stone A present for Reiko, news of a marriage in Funitsu's family. An old cat, new tricks. Winter in July; battling oni, fetching Haku's scrolls. Something's troubling Tomika.

- Graduation Day Reiko and Ito go out on a hunt that goes wrong in a way that Reiko never imagined.
- Tomika's Letters, 7/28 - 8/6: Rivers of Fire Ito's betrayal, visiting Lord Takumi, going to fetch what little is left of the Scorpion army. The Warresh, a crystal city, and a Thrykreen acting out of character. Ito's new form, and new binding.

- Tomika's Letters, 8/14 - 8/22: Windtraveller The retinue foils a deeply icky plot.
- Storm Warning Reiko broods, and Taura is not exactly herself.
- Tomika's Letters, 8/23 - 8/28: Odyssey Stinky adventure in the sewers. Lin, one last time. Two more generals dead. The sentiment of the kitsune.
- Not For Jade or For Diamonds Reiko apologizes to Jeron, and learns all manner of interesting things.
- Tomika's Letters, 8/28/1583: The Fall of the Crab: Ship battle, freeing General Shiro and Suzume, taking the name of the Scopion in vain.
- Tomika's letters, 8/30/1583 - 8/31/1583: The City of the Sun Tadaki provides an origin for all of those Godzilla myths, the group recovers Funitsu's sister and Reiko's mother, and we find a city for the hengenyokai.
- Lose Me Like an Arrow Reiko discovers parts of her past that she really didn't want to know about.
- Tomika's letters, 9/5 - 9/28/1583: The Lion and the Unicorn Rescuing the Lion Clan; a great number of enemies converge in one spot. Hiroshi marries both of Storming Bear's daughters. Hideyoshi's surrender.
